Corporation Domination
So the economy has tanked. People have been laid off, small businesses are closing their doors, and more people are available to work than there is work available.
What is happening?
Just a few years ago we were living in Gloucester, VA and my company was the top flooring installation company used by 4 different Lowe’s stores. The freedom we had as a subcontractor for Lowe’s was amazing, and the pay was phenomenal! We were a small business that basically leveraged Lowe’s great name and store to pick up work. Truly was a contractor’s dream come true.
In 2005 we left VA, and our carpet installation company, to learn more about the internet marketing and network marketing industries. Boy am I glad we did!
Just recently I started learning more about what is happening in small business/contracting fields here in Michigan. Nowadays to work for Lowe’s, it is more like a high paid job with high risks. Even though they still use subcontractors, the rules of the game have definitely changed. Now you are required to wear a uniform, abide by certain protocol that Lowe’s lays out for you to follow, and get this, they will even come to the home you are working in and inspect that you are following their guidelines to spec. Now, wait a minute, I am in business for myself, right? Wrong!!!
Even though you are a small business owner, and you are required to be licensed & insured, they get to call all the shots. Don’t complain, because if you don’t like it, we will just find someone else!
There has been a shift, and I am calling that shift, Corporation Domination!
Do you know anyone who has been laid off recently? Now, have you heard about someone who was laid off, then re-hired by that same company except for a much lower salary? What a bunch of bologne!
Did you know that small convenient stores are now requiring a resume when you apply for a minimum wage job? It is no wonder more and more college grads are working at waiting tables or cashiers at grocery stores than they are in the field they went to school for.
Anyone seen the small businesses whom are shutting down because they simply cannot compete in the marketplace with the big corporations anymore? Or how about the self employed contractors who are finding it more and more difficult to find work so they have to resort to working for big corporate chains just to make a living. Most contractors I have spoken to call 5 years ago, “The good ole days.” One contractor went as far as to say, “Those days of making really good money are in the past now, we will probably never see them again!” That means they are settling for less pay, and in many cases, harder work.
It seems there are more people looking for work, then there is work available. This scenario plays right into the hands of the big corporations. Why? Because you are easily replaceable.
There has to be a better way, and there is!
It is called a “B” type business.
You see people are always talking about “Get Rich Quick,” and “Pyramid Scams Online,” but they fail to understand that making money without being an employee is going to require different information, and a different mindset. This means before you go looking for an opportunity to make money, research the different industries that are available. That doesn’t mean going to public forums to seek information. Genuinely look into each business model available and research how each one works.
Are there a lot of scams online? Yes, of course there are.
Is there a such thing as an illegal pyramid? Yes, they are called “Ponzi Schemes.”
Is what most people consider a scam or pyramid really? NO!
The truth is people fall for programs that promise results which are “too good to be true” everyday. The real opportunities of the 21st century are going to require time for you to change your core beliefs about money and business. What keeps people trapped is they think they already know about an opportunity without really doing their research.
However, with the recent corporation domination that is taking place more and more people are starting to wake up! Sadly many people have waited until they were a victim of the economy before they started to change. Though change might sound scary, it is necessary if you are going to prosper moving forward in the 21st Century!
See for yourself what is happening.
Do you really think we are coming out of the recession?
If you continue to work as an employee, get used to uncertainty and be prepared to work for less and less money moving forward. I was speaking with a painter today and he said, “I had 5 bids for work, and everyone of them somebody underbid me.” With the competitiveness in the marketplace someone can always do your job just as good and for less money!! (Ouch, sad but true!)
Big Business is the only way out. Robert Kiyosaki, best selling author Rich Dad Poor Dad says, “The rich build networks while everyone else looks for work.”
Decide to be rich. Start building your network today. It won’t be easy, simple, but not easy. It won’t happen overnight, no “Get Rich Quick,” here. However, by learning the Business of the 21st Century, branding yourself & business online, and building a network over the next 3-5 years, you can create your own freedom vehicle.
Corporation Domination is inevitable to continue. Outsourcing jobs overseas isn’t going to cease anytime soon. Lay offs, downsizing, unemployment and uncertainty are guaranteed side effects of being an employee.
Choose to take control of your life! Choose to be different! Choose to be Unaverage! Choose to be FREE!
You are capable of greater things,
Ron

I have seen alot of change over the past few years. Here is one that I found interesting, some companies now require an associates degree to work on their production line. It’s no longer like it used to be finish High School and go out and find a good job with stable company.

You are correct! We have entered into new times. Those who play by the new rules stand to prosper, while those who continue to play by the old rules will only struggle. Praise Jesus for the gift of Entrepreneurship!
